The Absolute Best wedding video I have seen....

Besides my own wedding, of course. :) Seriously, I have seen a few wedding videos in my day and usually they are boring and you want to tell people...."um I was at your wedding I do not need to relive this crap over again...." Or even more annoying," You didn't invite me to your wedding and now I have to watch this sub par wedding video....thanks alot." That is untill I saw a wedding video that was done this past summer.

I was unable to attend because even though it was in the Philadelphia area and I live in Lansdale. I have two children who have no real reliable babysitter so We excused ourselves from the wedding guest list, but still got them a toaster.

This wedding was of a couple that I would say was "artsy". I wondered what type of wedding they actually had so I was interested as they put their wedding video dvd into their blu ray player. I wonder if "wedding video" will always be the term I use? I guess my kids will say wedding dvd.

As this wedding dvd started with a "how we met" intro I was shocked. The quality of this video was not just good, but almost too good. Camera angles looked more like an actual production than a wedding video. I was really into it because this didn't look like a wedding video. The way it was shot it reminded me of the opening of the old tv show "the wonder years" with the nostagic film feel. It gave their wedding footage a really nice warm feeling. I have never seen such a great wedding video. They even had the footage on their iphones. That was really neat to see a wedding video on the ipod. I found out that the company they hired to do this was tanner lane wedding videos. Their site is Tanner Lane Weddings they are based in the Philly area but I'm sure they travel.

When Amy and I left we were talking about how our wedding video was soo antique compared to what we saw. For the price I was shocked at what they got and really jealous actually. The funny (not?) thing was that this was his 2nd wedding and his first was a month before our own wedding. I asked Amy if she wanted to get married again... she said having a wedding video on the ipod seemed like a good idea. Maybe we'll get them to film some party or something. Seriously, it's the coolest stuff I have seen.

Does anyone professionally film Kids parties? Is that really lame?

Our doctor was concerned over our 9 month old not crawling and set up an appointment for an early intervention team. We were cone concerned because our son was moving when he was born and Pepe was not sitting up or really crawling at all. She's very content and a little lazy. We really didn't have a whole lot of concern, but it's scary to hear your baby might not be doing well. The team came over and told us Pepe was awesome. She's just a little lazy.
If your baby is not crawling by 9 months do not be concerned. Penenlope had some issues with her feet. She didn't like putting her feet down on the ground at all. We started roughing up her feet a little bit, rubbing them on the carpet and giving little massages to her feet. She's getting better with putting her feet down now. She's starting to crawl on her hands and knees and she's still ridiculously cute.

If your infant has a fever..... remember to count hours and not calender days. It might have been 2 days... but only 24 hours. Over 103 degree temperature in an infant is cause for concern. Babies can get fevers from the sun. If exposed for awhile they can heat up. They aren't used to it and the sun's heat gets trapped in them. It's flippin true. I have had two kids and the first time they were out in the sun they both got sick. Remember the sunscreen and that your baby is brand new.

You know, there are very very few moments in my life where I really felt good about the future of the US. I have felt that the US was on the verge of plummeting into a civil war type seperation. I believe Barack Obama can change that. I really hope he can. Watching his speech last night was very heavy I still had a hard time thinking that this man was president. WOW. I really can't wait for penelope to get older. She's only four months and that's kindof a hard age to deal with. She's incredibly squeeky. Milo has been really whiny too... Too many grapes? Everyone has fun on the beach. Milo and Penelope had a great time. The weather sucked on friday but became beautiful on staurday. It was really awesome!! Cant wait to go for a longer time next year. They both should be a lot of fun then.

Shore was fun and a bit tiring. It was tough sleeping with two kids in the same room. Milo and penelope had a great time. Milo probably had more fun. He really loved the ocean. He had a great time letting the waves come to him. He is sucha friendly guy. He kept going up to people and saying "hi" and playing with little kid's toys. We spent friday walking in wildwood then over to cape may for a little beach time. The weather turned out awesome on saturday and the sun was warm and bright. Maybe too bright because we all got a little sunburnt.

i got to spend time with just penelope today. That was nice. I really enjoy being a dad. She has been getting bigger. She seems really nice. I can't wait for amy to go back to school. I think she will feel really happy about learning again. she always loved school. I hope it works out for her. It's tough to believe that Penelope has only been around for 2 months. She keeps getting cuter and cuter each day. Having 2 kids under 2 years can be stressful at times. It does seem to be getting better each day....coffee does help! I remember back to when Milo was this age it was tough, but I know it gets a little easier everday.
Watching Milo progress to almost sentences is amazing. He is so smart and he really likes "hi" and "bye" to people and things. i hope to write a bit more. Amy will be going to school again soon and there will be more stay at home dad type of stuff.. stay tuned

Milo and Penelope had a good time at the carnival. Milo got to ride the caroussel and he was a little scared. That thing went faster than you'd expect. He was screaming, "up down...Up Down." I have heard a lot of crying about the new Indiana Jones movie. We all know that george lucas is crazy. Here's how it would have been better..........
Have the next "Indy" character work as a frustrated "archeaologist" who wants to preserve the artifacts I imagine a "it belongs in a museum" type opening line. Have him stumble upon or bring someone else in to clue him into the fact the myth of "Dr Jones" is real. Of course no one has seen him in awhile. Have this new indy track him down through the other characters they would like to bring back ( Sean Connery?) . Maybe have Indy as some sort of "god" or evil overlord Character. Have new indy get into trouble only to have old indy come out of being bad and save him. Everybody wins. You are welcome george... call me.

Today Milo was very impressed with the guy who was shoveling, the man running the backhoe, the guy on the riding mower... there was even a guy who gets to ride the train all day long!!!. I wish i could see the world like that. I bet those guys do too. I wonder what happens to us? I was really happy to just sit on the bench at the train station with him. He seemed like such a big guy.

Milo is so much bigger today. He was just sitting in his crib this morning and singing. Amy cleaned out his closet and looking at all of the little clothes made me a little nostalgic. I really enjoy being a dad. Milo and his cousin Zach were hanging out. They had a great time. Milo was really tired so was I, but we had an awesome time in the Acme. He was waving and saying bye-bye. It was wonderful it was great. I really liked the way those two played together, it made me feel good about the arrival of a Penelope. Amy is now off of work so life should be getting easier. Maybe.

Daddydom does put excess stress on the $$$ situation. There are many different factions that will drain your fun(d)s. I will be taking on wayyy more than i can chew and hope not to choke. My wife will be leaving her job on maternity leave early. This will allow her time to rest and get that baby girl growing. That is cool. She's working hard building a human. That's tough work. She needs the break. Man in me says..."you stay home make baby." Of course financially this could be trouble. Right now with work it's tough. I'm not making enough $$$ and our finances are drained. The whole family will move to State college PA for about two months where i will work like a dog. We are getting an apartment for 2 months. I have the lease and the deposit money (borrowed) in front of me and I'm scared. Scared because i am supposed to only be there for half the week and half the week be down home. This can not work. I will be causing major problems in my job. I have to do what's best for my family, but is causing me to be unemployed the best (?). I do not know if that will happen, but right now i do not know for sure what will go on. I feel as though i'm being torn between several different factions.....Daddy, husband, provider, boss, leader, dad to be, and somewhere if i look close enough might be me down there. I do not know if I want to find him.

A baby will change your life. You will be envious of your friends time and the ability they have to blog and not get yelled at. or screamed at. It is difficult to hang out with old friends... you got a baby and sitters are not coming out of the woodwork. Plus you are so sleepy. In time i have found that i really do not care about hanging out anymore. I really love being a family and the things people seem to worry about aren't anything. Once you have a baby you realize how much time there is for everything else.. you just can't use it.
