Headache

I have a big headache today. I need to get stuff done, i need a new shirt for a wedding tomorrow. I also may need some pants so today could be hectic. Tomorrow is going to be our first full night away from milo. I'm kindof scared. I'm sure he'll be ok, but it's a little nerve wracking. I watched Halloween last night care of a guy who can get you that type of stuff. It was very good in the begining and dragged towards the end. I don't know if it was the final cut the date on the title was may 17th. Michael Myers is resurrected by Rob Zombie. There is a joke somewhere in there ... Zombie ..dead. Malcolm McDowell was in it. He's so cool. He even threw in a few wheezing "michael"s in there ala Donald Pleasence from the original Halloween movies. I hope i can look as good as him when i'm old.... Malcom McDowell not that other guy. The whole Myers clan is involved and little michael is crazy. Amy loves Rob Zombie films. I'm not sure if i like them or not they are good cheesy thriller movies, but it gets a little old. Zombie creates these trashy horrible characters that do exist in our society. I think that is what was scary about the Devils Rejects. Some parts of that film you could totally believe could have or has happened to people....that's just creepy. Rob Zombie casts his wife alot in these films. She has a ridiculous laugh in house of 1000's corpses. Yeah so i guess i like rob zombie films too. I think he should make a zombie film....that just seems right.

Back to work

Today is Amy's day to go back to work. It's just me and milo today. I'm really excited. I'm up early so i can make some potatoes for breakfast. I can't wait to get my snuggle pig all to myself. I know it's selfish, but i can't help it. He's so cool. We'll wrestle and he'll pull my hair, we might go to the thrift store or the crazy new book store/ collectable/ weird thing store that opened in town recently, maybe we'll go to the library or to the beanie baby guy and buy some records. All this and new episodes of survivorman on the science channel (the poor man's discovery) should make for a great day. I'll keep you posted.

my favorite tv show

I really make an effort to not watch much tv. One channel i do put on most is current tv. It's a news type network with journalists (usually younger) cover topics that interest them. They have many interesting stories that are short and are called pods.
Today, being the two year anniversary of Katrina, there was a long show on this guy going around when new orleans was flooding. There were many times where i thought he would get stuck and not make it out. I guess i had some sick side of me that wanted him to get stuck and see what he would do to get himself out. The next pod was about these hotels in argentina where couples go to "get it on" called "telos". The "Telos" are basically nice rooms to rent out for a short time for a little private time. These are nessessary because most people in argentina do not live on their own. Some are themed room and cost $15 for 2 hours.
This is odd because of where i was when i first heard about the hurricane. This was a little different than most people hearing about it. Amy & I were at the philadelphia folk fest that weekend and then we went to a "romantically themed" Hotel to rest up on Monday. I had no idea the hurricane hit until late monday evening. We went out to eat and we noticed the gas prices were way up. When we got back to the hotel i checked out the tv and there we saw the horrible images of the hurricane. It's still messed up in New Orleans after two years, i think that is a shame. It was a really nice place, but that is what will happen to you when you build a city underwater. Note to any new city planners: if you have to walk up steps to see the river, consider revising your location.
Anyway current manages to get into my brain and link two seemingly unrelated items. Way to go current. They are now introducing me to bacn. Being a vegetarian i do not like my junk mail being refered to a another pork product. Does anybody have religious objections to this?
Moscow will have complete traffic gridlock by 2011 you will not be able to drive because with the fall of communism parking laws are no longer in effect. Something to think about. No not really. Amy goes back to work tomorrow so i might not blog for a bit or blog way too much.

Singer Slant O Matic

So amy has this beast of a singer sewing machine that has been collecting dust for awhile in the basement. It's one of those weird flip into a table ninja style singers. I wondered when she was going to do anything with it. Amy and I found out the fabric store in town is going out of business so it was a good time to get some cheap fabric to cover our couch for milo puke. When we got there amy stated she wanted to make some pillows for our pillow room. I asked if she really thought she could have the time to hand sew these things. She said she would use her sewing machine. I completely forgot she had a sewing machine. I asked if she knew how to use it and she said she wasn't sure how to thread it but could look it up on the internet. We found out there are roughly a few million versions of singer sewing machines. Ok maybe not that many, but at least 500 because this singer is the 500a . I guess there are 501 singers because of the 500 A singer . It's actually titled " Side Slanting Singer 500 A Rocketeer" which is the best title i have ever heard of for a sewing machine. There really wasn't anything on this sewing machine on the net. Amy tried to no avail to get this thing going, but could not find any info on how to thread the machine. Later, when i should be going to work i went off to the fabric store to see if i could find Singer 500 a threading instructions. I was trying to be an awesome husband guy. I made sure i kept repeating the 500 a part so i would know what make and model for the surprise gift of threading instructions, which is every girls dream. The store actually had a huge book of singer sewing machine instructions that looked really used and old. The kind old lady behind the counter told me to be careful because there are like "1000's of singer sewing machines i hope you know the type." I responded with a cheesy radio announcer voice, "why would I use anything but the classic ninja style Side Slanting Singer 500 A Rocketeer ?" I couldn't believe i remembered the whole name i was shocked. C'mon Side slanting Rocketeer? She looked confused and probably didn't care as she will be losing her job shortly when the store closes. I looked through the massive singer catalog of instructions and found her lovely 500a instructions had been removed by some careless sewing vandal. Our friend LeAnne found some directions, she said on the internet but maybe she ripped the 500 a instructions out of that book. Amy and her figured it out and made a pillow. It's really nice and amy has a picture of her awesome Side slating Singer 500 a Rocketeer on her blog. We made this site for instructions.

Too much of a good thing

Amy will be going back to work. It has been a great time with her home. I am still really tired, but i know with her going back to work we are in for another grind. Week in and week out it will be tough to keep the demands of the full time stay at home dad. Thankfully she will be starting on a thursday then with the labor day we'll have some time to adjust. We do have a wedding to go to and milo will be spending his first night away from us. This should be very interesting. What are we going to be like when we are not near him for maybe 24 hours. It will be very weird. I hope we enjoy it and aren't all freaked out. I know milo will have a good time. He really likes people. We were at the asian grocery store and this lady was speaking Korean (?) to him and he loved it. I guess it all sounds the same to him. He really likes the colors in the asian grocery store, he likes looking at the vegetables. I caught him in the sprinklers above the vegetables he was shocked and trying to touch the water, but he was getting too wet we had to move along. I got a good new age book on past lives, i don't know if i believe in the idea yet, but it is fascinating to think you may have had past lives. Milo is starting to figure out his voice. That is loud gotta go.
