That warm and fuzzy feeling....

Milo and Amy are napping on the couch. Amy has off for the holiday. We went to toys r us today and it got me thinking if that was a good place to take children. It might be a gigantic let down for kids. Wondering through the aisles with all of those toys glaring back at you, knowing that you may be lucky to leave with one thing. It must be frustrating to a child. I don't know if taking Milo to Toys r Us often will be in our routine as he gets older. I really enjoy the idea of not giving him so much junk.
There is a ton of junk at Toys r Us. Most of the toys are really over the top. Do you really need a personal moon bounce? Or a personal ball pit? These toys are just silly, but they are reasonably priced taunting most parents with the idea of extravagance for relatively little money. The Little moon bounce was $170 which is not all that crazy to have your own moon bouce as a kid. I know i would have wanted one, but i know Milo doesn't need one. I really hope we have a girl next time around because there are so many objectional toys with the make up and all of the "bling bling" toys. Seriously, there are toys called "bling-bling" It's outrageous.
Milo really liked grabbing for every toy that was near him in the aisles. He doesn't have any interest in any specific toy yet, but i know that time will be coming very soon. With christmas edging closer Amy and I both worry about Milo recieving too many junk toys. He really will be happier with the boxes. Maybe that is what i'll get him a box, I'll wrap it up and then we can pretend it's a spaceship.
